Community Sexual and Gender-Based Violence Resources

​24 Hours Support Line-Sexual Assault Support Centre (SASC) of Waterloo Region 
  • ​Confidential support line available 24/7 for survivors and those supporting survivors
  • Provide support to people of all genders
  • Provide support to those impacted by sexual violence at any point in their lives
  • Can include immediate crisis support and interventions, information about options, referrals, advocacy and accompaniment if reporting
  • Language interpretation available

​Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre-Waterloo Region​The Waterloo Region Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centre is a 24/7 on call team of nurses and social workers who respond to the needs of individuals who have experienced sexual assault or domestic violence. The team can be accessed through the Emergency Department at St. Mary’s General Hospital and Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Confidential treatment options will be offered.  
  • Can include medical care and treatment of injuries, pregnancy options, STI and drug screening, crisis support and safety planning, as well as evidence collection (survivors can talk about all or some of these topics). 
​How to Access:

 Go to the Emergency Department of St. Mary’s General Hospital or Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and request to speak to a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. The team will be contact to meet with you in provide.
