Program description

Our two-year Business Administration - Accounting Accelerated program provides the same learning outcomes as the three-year advanced diploma program, making it ideal for those interested in applying with advanced standing to the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) - Accounting, Audit and Information Technology (AITT) degree program.

Graduates who maintain a 70% overall average will receive credit for the first two years of the AAIT degree program. Typically, diploma graduates start in September and complete three co-op work terms, while those with work experience may receive credit for one work term.

Our program provides the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in an intermediate-level accounting position and the fundamentals required for advancement to managerial positions. You will be able to apply computer, communication, and mathematical skills and employ management accounting techniques to support accounting activities, including maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements, and handling individual and corporate tax returns.

Additionally, graduates can perform more complex functions, including applying principles of financial analysis and planning and control, using analytical and evaluation skills to support a variety of management functions, and collaborating in the design of an organization's internal control system.
