Program description

The field of hospitality and tourism continuously adapts in response to consumer trends and challenges in the 21st century economy. If you are looking for an exciting and fast-paced career where you can use creativity to address issues in hospitality and tourism, and collaborate with other like-minded individuals, Conestoga's Bachelor of Hospitality Management may be the perfect program for you.

This three-year Bachelor's degree program will provide you with the comprehensive skills and knowledge required to achieve success in a range of careers in hospitality, leisure, tourism, events and related fields. Building upon the recognized theoretical foundations of hospitality, you will complement your learning through case studies, laboratory activities, simulation exercises, and a four-month paid co-op work term. You will learn in Conestoga's Centre for Culinary and Hospitality Innovation at the John W. Tibbits (Waterloo) Campus, featuring a state-of-the-art culinary kitchen equipped with commercial-grade appliances and student restaurant, Bloom.

An exclusive agreement with the Institut Lyfe (formerly Institut Paul Bocuse) Alliance Network in France - the leading global network of education excellence for culinary arts and the hospitality trades - provides opportunities in France and connections to further studies at the Institut.

As a graduate of the program you will have an expansive range of career options to work as hospitality and tourism managers, including but not limited to finance, marketing, entertainment, and customer service.
