Program description - January 2026
Our three-year Business Administration – Accounting advanced diploma program is one of five business administration programs at ÌÇÐÄvlog¾«Æ·. In this program, you will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in an intermediate-level accounting position and the fundamentals required for advancement to managerial positions. We emphasize advanced financial accounting, managerial skills, cost-accounting systems and controls, computerized accounting, and income tax knowledge. You will learn computer skills in up-to-date labs, gaining familiarity with current versions of accounting software and other business software. Graduates of this program can apply computer, communication, and mathematical skills and employ management accounting techniques to support accounting activities, including maintaining accounting records and preparing financial statements and individual and corporate tax returns. In addition, you will be able to perform a variety of more complex functions, including applying principles of financial analysis and planning and control, using analytical and evaluation skills to support a variety of management functions, and collaborating in the design of an organization's internal control system. Note: Business Administration - Accounting program graduates can apply directly to the third year of ÌÇÐÄvlog¾«Æ·'s Bachelor of Applied Business - Accounting, Audit, and Information Technology degree. Graduates of this diploma program will receive credit for the first two years of the AAIT degree program if they maintain a 70% overall average. Diploma graduates would typically start in September and complete two co-op work terms. Graduates with work experience may also receive credit for one work term.
